Facial Reflexology - The Bergman Method - is a holistic reflexology treatment carried out on the face. The healing experience of facial reflexology not only gives you all the benefits of foot reflexology, in promoting deep relaxation and helping to relieve many symptoms of stress, but it has one other unique effect. Facial Reflexology stimulates blood flow, which can help tone the facial muscles and the massage element of the treatment may help stimulate collagen and elastin production - leading to a fresher looking and more radiant skin.

Following a series of treatments you may notice a softening in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles - a reason that the Bergman Method of Facial Reflexology has received so many accolades in the national press.

What can Facial Reflexology help with?

Facial Reflexology is very effective in improving lymphatic drainage encouraging the elimination of toxins and can help relieve muscle tension, mental strain, headaches & migraines. Facial Reflexology aims to reduce the symptoms and effects of many common ailments including sinusitis and congestion problems, insomnia, lack of energy, IBS and other stress related issues. It can be particularly useful for people suffering with neurological conditions by working closely with the central nervous system and the muscles of the face and head.

What can I expect from my Facial Reflexology treatment?

During your treatment:

Each treatment will last approx 45mins.

Your first visit will be a little longer as it will include a consultation where we'll have a chat about your medical history and general health. This helps in the planning of your treatment which is tailored to suit your individual needs.

You will then be asked to removed your shoes (for comfort only) and get in my reclining chair, then I will cover you with a blanket.

Using only organic products I will lightly cleanse the skin, then a facial oil (chosen for your skin type) will be applied to your face and a combination of massage and gentle pressure points will be used. This will stimulate your body’s own natural healing mechanisms, helping to improve circulation and encourage the release of toxins.

Everyone’s Facial Reflexology experience is different, but generally people feel a sense of deep relaxation and many fall asleep. Some have reported to have had tingles in their body, to feel lighter, as if a weight has been lifted and others are extremely sleepy and need to go to bed.

**Please note that if you have had Botox or facial fillers you will need to allow five weeks before attending a Facial Reflexology session.

+ How often should I have a treatment?

If your reason for having Facial Reflexology is to seek help for a particular condition, then a course of regular treatments may be advisable in order to feel the full benefits of Reflexology. Following your first appointment, a treatment plan will be devised, recommending between 4 - 8 weekly treatments. This will be dependent upon your age and state of health and nature of your condition and how long it has been present.

It is usual to follow up a treatment plan with monthly treatments to maintain the benefits.
